Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is involved in the project - Improving Environmental Monitoring in the Black Sea (EMBLAS) (2013 - 2014) funded by the EU and UNDP, and implemented by UNDP, Europe and the CIS Bratislava Regional Centre, with support UNDP national offices in Georgia, Russia and Ukraine, covers three mentioned countries. The project will strengthen capacities of the respective national authorities for biological and chemical monitoring of water quality in the Black Sea, in line with EU water related legislation (EU WFD and MSFD).
