Description :
The Study of Las culture and Laseti has some tradition in Georgia, where both scientific and national interest of Laseti, as an object of study, have been put forward. However, unfortunately, Lazeti which, by its historical circumstances, was cut off from its natural Georgian lingual-cultural space nowadays exists in isolation from common Kartvelian (in the republic of Turkey). Related to this issue, certain popular and scientific publications have been and are being produced: the majority of which as well as the material stored in the archives are still unknown to the Georgian Society. Finding, translation, systematisation and research of this material will enable us to study Laz ethno-genesis, culture, history and language at a deeper and more advanced scale.This becomes even more significant today when there are several attempts to break Lazeti off from the common Georgian ethno-cultural world.
